Setting up Google Chrome's Phishing Reporting Feature.

The following are instructions on setting up the phishing reporting feature in google chrome. Note that the chrome browser is required to enable this feature.

The process to sign into Google Chrome consists of 3 sign in prompts before getting to the real sign in

First click the person icon in the top right corner of Chrome and click the “Sign in to Chrome” button

A “Sign in to Chrome” window will appear. Enter your TCNJ email address and click Next

Now a Google sign-in screen will appear, so enter your email address again and click Next.

Finally you will be redirected to our single sign-in page, so enter your TCNJ username and password and click Sign In.

Chrome browser data sync will link all your settings, bookmarks, and extensions between any Chrome browsers you sign into. If you sign in to more than one Chrome browser your bookmarks and settings will be the same between the browsers. By default, all settings are synced, but you can granularly select which data to sync from the sync settings chrome://settings/syncSetup

Now you will be signed into your Google Chrome web browser and the “fish hook” Phish Alert button will be automatically enabled.

The Phish Alert button will appear as part of your Gmail mailbox. If you want to report a suspicious message click on the hook and then confirm that you want to submit the message.
