How do I use Google Calendar appointment slots?

Using Google Calendar appointment slots is an easy way to help manage time that you have set aside for meetings by adding time blocks to your Google Calendar that others can see and sign up for.

By creating appointment slots on your Google Calendar, you can choose if a block of time reserved for appointments, say two hours, is a single two hour appointment slot or if it is broken down to four appointment slots of 30 minutes each.

How to create a Google Calendar appointment slot:

  1. Using your work or school account on a computer, open Google Calendar
  2. Make sure that you're in Week view or any Day view
  3. Click anywhere in the calendar. In the event box that pops up, click Appointment slots
  4. Enter the details, including a title, and pick the calendar where you want the event to show up
  5. To add more information, like a location or description, click More options

Once you have a Google Calendar with appointment slots on it, you can get a shareable link to send to people so that they can see and sign up for any available appointments you have.

How to get the shareable link for your Google Calendar appointment slots:

  1. Open Google Calendar
  2. Click your appointment and then Go to appointment page for this calendar
  3. Copy and paste the appointment page link from your browser
  4. Send this link to people who want to reserve an appointment slot
