Please ensure that employee requested leave time (sick, vacation, energy leave, and administrative leave) is entered and approved in Oracle Cloud prior to the requested day(s) off, not retroactively.
Also, please ensure that this process is communicated with your staff members by disseminating the attached memo electronically or via printed hard copy.
- Requested leave time must be placed in Oracle and approved prior to the requested day(s) off whenever possible, or at the latest, within that pay period before it closes.
- Requested leave time cannot be entered in Oracle after the pay period has already ended. Entering and approving leave time requests after the pay period has ended is causing pay processing errors that are not easily fixed.
Please be informed that if an employee's requested leave time is not entered or approved in Oracle prior to the end of a pay period, you must create a new service request via TeamDynamix {send an email to benefits@tcnj.edu) detailing what leave time was taken by the employee. In an effort to keep available leave time totals accurate for the employee, the Benefits team will correct this error by decreasing the employee's available leave time totals based on the amount of leave time taken. This corrective course of action is an intricate process that must be used only in rare situations where leave time was not entered timely.
